Woman Held At Gunpoint Evades Robber Using Trick She Saw On “Law & Order.”

It was a heart stopping moment you’ve only seen in the movies.

Julie Dragland was riding a public transit train bound for Dublin, California when someone seated behind her dropped a note in her lap. Perplexed, she looked down and read the note. The horrifying message sent her mind racing for a way out.

The note read:

“There are 2 guns pointed at you now. If you want to live, hand back your wallet + phone NOW + do not turn around and be discrete. Do not turn around until after you have left Civic Center + you will live.”

Instead of complying with the menacing directions, Dragland did the first thing that came to mind. She tried mouthing the word ‘help’ to other passengers, but no one noticed.

Though most would consider complying with such a terrifying request, Dragland was due to leave for London the next day and knew giving up her wallet and ID would make that impossible.

In desperation, she did the least expected thing. She faked a seizure.

Ragland collapsed in a heap on the floor and faked convulsions.

Sure enough, as concerned passengers crowded around her, Ragland saw a person in dark clothing and sunglasses get off the bus on the very next stop.

Like we said, it was a movie moment. Julie is unshaken and ok and local authorities are hot on the heels of the would-be robber thanks to surveillance footage captured at the scene.

Kudos to Dragland and her quick thinking! Be aware of your surroundings and stay safe out there friends!
