What comes around goes around. A Texas woman just learned this lesson the hard way after a body-shaming comment she posted on social media went viral.
The woman’s post criticized Demetria Obilor, a new traffic reporter with Dallas-based WFAA, saying she “looks ridiculous” in a fitted dress.
The rude message incited the wrath of the online community– with thousands piping up to defend Demetria; it even got the attention of Grammy-winner Chance the Rapper who chimed in with his support for the reporter.
Demetria herself wasn’t going to stand for that kind of nastiness and addressed the issue head-on in a Twitter video.
For those who don’t like the way her body’s shaped, her choice of attire, or even how she chooses to style her hair, she has this to say:
“This is the way that I’m built, this is the way that I was born, I’m not going anywhere, so if you don’t like it, you have your options.”
Watch the video below to hear what she has to say, in full, to all the haters out there.
Share to show your support for this beautiful reporter and strong woman!
